Melissa is an absolute doll. She cuts my 4 year old sons hair and does so well with children. Her patience and professionalism is something that comes natural, and she’s very sweet! I’ve taken him to a few others, but once we found Melissa there was no turning back! Go see her, you won’t be disappointed!

I went in not really knowing what I wanted to do with my hair and Chase blew it out of the park even with me having no direction. Very professional and nice. I don’t really like talking too much during haircuts and he picked up on that immediately and didn’t push. Quality was the same if not better than a $60-$70 mens haircut in other midwest cities. The total? $32+tip which was amazing deal. Highly recommend.

Best barbers downtown. Mariah at Tonsorial has been cutting my hair for almost five years. She is an excellent barber, always personable, and pays attention to detail. Even when I decided to grow my hair out she adapted and kept me looking my best throughout the process. I’ve watched the Tonsorial shop out grow their space in the BoxYard twice in the last five years. The owner, Crystal, has done an incredible job creating a space that is charming, comfortable, and doesn’t over indulge in Men’s barbershop clichés. I wouldn’t want to be a regular anywhere else.

Crystal has done an awesome job on my hair for years now. They accommodate to anyone and everyone. I won’t be going anywhere else! Can’t recommend them enough!

Safe haven for queer folks who may be uncomfortable in mainstream shops and salons. The atmosphere is so pleasant, very cozy, and familiar, like a place you’ve been going to for years. They specialize in shorter styles, and can do everything from traditional business to offbeat styles, razored designs, and traditional barbering, and will assist customers who want to experiment with their look but aren’t sure what will look good. The staff is friendly as heck, very validating of all identities. My trans boyfriend got his first men’s haircut here, and they did not hesitate to give me a men’s cut as some other places have (I’m AFAB and some stylists are hesitant). Well worth the honestly very reasonable price. They book online often a couple of weeks in advance, but sometimes have walk-ins available via cancellation. Don’t rely on that and schedule online. If you have questions about which stylist is best for you, don’t hesitate to call. Shop respects staff’s time, as should customers, by keeping appointments and being on time.

I’ve been going to Tonsorial for 6-8 months and really enjoy it. The shop is clean, well-designed and has an overall good vibe. Meriah has always cut my hair. She is warm and kind, a great conversationalist, and does excellent work. I highly recommend both Meriah and Tonsorial!

Finding someone who can do a bald fade is tough. I just moved downtown and took a chance with Shelby at Tonsorial and I’m incredibly happy with the results. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for that perfect fade cut. Thanks.

As a trans and disabled person, it is very hard to find an accommodating barbershop. This place made me, my wife and my sibling in law very safe as well as gave my sibling their first fantastically androgynous haircut on curly native hair no less! Chris did all of our appointments and we will be returning!

I just moved back to Oklahoma after being gone for 8 years. I’ve been stressed out about where to get my haircut. I have short hair but I don’t like just a clipper cut, my hair is messy and textured and not everyone knows how to cut it properly. I booked my appointment with Crystal and I have to say this is the best haircut I’ve had in years. She has true talent and the shop is amazing. I highly recommend Tonsorial and Crystal!

These people are pure talent! I have been seeing Melissa for nearly a year now. I am beyond impressed with the service and quality and the price is far better than many other custom places in and around Tulsa. She cuts my hair with a dope fade and has been able to shape my beard assisting with it growing longer and being in style and shapely. Sadly, due to covid and being an ICU nurse I’ve had to shave my beard, but she keeps my stache tight. Go see ya girl and upgrade your style!
